Hot and Trendy Fashion Brands use Stylophane Magic to Increase Online Profits this Holiday

San Francisco, CA - December 12, 2006 – What do trend setters Salt Jeans, Eberjey Lingerie, Michael Stars, and Canterbury of New Zealand all have in common? They use Stylophane, a small San Francisco based company with big talent and a reputation for designing e-commerce sites that go both “bling” and more importantly “ca-ching” for their clients. Stylophane have developed a formula that makes brands profitable online, and the brands are calling.

Hap Klopp, CEO of Canterbury of New Zealand USA, and also founder of apparel giant The North Face, retained Stylophane in July to design, market and manage Canterbury’s e-commerce project. "We couldn't be happier with the results of the work Stylophane did for us. The functionality of the system, the look of the website and, better yet, the sales results have exceeded our expectations," states Klopp.

Stylophane is celebrating five years of perfecting the art of the “profitable” online business.“Our primary focus is profitability. All our sites, whether they are in fashion or any industry, start out with a business plan on a spreadsheet, and then later our designers take over to complete the success formula,” says partner, Alex Mendoza.

"The news right now is that there is a huge shortage of qualified e-commerce people to meet employer demand, and colleges just do not teach this stuff, it’s all too new and evolves too quickly. Stylophane allows companies to use our experienced e-commerce talent and proven marketing system to achieve a profitable website," adds Mendoza.

Lingerie manufacturer Eberjey called on Stylophane after experiencing mixed results with its initial e-commerce venture. “I loved the look and design of our site, but sales were not what we hoped they would be,” says Eberjey co-founder Mariela Rovito. “Stylophane barely made any visible changes to the site, but they grew our sales by more than 500% in just a few months,” says Rovito.

Ben Lau of MichaelStars.com, a well established women’s line called on Stylophane’s marketing expertise. “Although, our site was making a healthy six figures monthly, I felt we could still be doing better. Stylophane took over the marketing efforts we had started, and refined them to the highest level possible, and the results are very clear and measurable.”

Salomon Smeke, President of New York based Salt Jeans, also outsourced swjeans.com to Stylophane this year, and states “Stylophane opened my eyes on how easy and profitable e-commerce is, we are selling more online in one month than what we projected for a full year.”

“Salt Jeans products have to look high-end online, our photography nails that look, which in turn makes customers click the buy button,” adds Mendoza. “Salt also has a hot product, which I look for when taking on a new client.”

How does Stylophane know whether a fashion brand is hot or not? “We developed our own Stylophane Apparel Brand Popularity Index to tell us who’s hot.” The SPI is a monthly Fashion Index that tracks over 450 fashion brands and is posted at Stylophane.com. "I also know that Salt Jeans are hot, because our models go crazy for these jeans during the shoot. It’s hard to get the samples back to New York!" says Mendoza
